Ahead of their concerts in Mexico City, BTS has become a hot topic after receiving an official invitation from the Mexican presidential office.

On Wednesday, Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum personally announced during her regular press briefing, known as the “Mananera,” that BTS is scheduled to visit the presidential office and greet citizens from the presidential balcony. She also praised the group’s music, saying, “They deliver messages of friendship, peace, and love.”

Earlier in January, President Sheinbaum had welcomed the news of BTS’s Mexico City concerts, calling it a “historic moment.”

BTS’ visit to Mexico is also generating major economic expectations. The Mexico City Chamber of Commerce estimated that the concerts would create an economic impact of approximately $107.5 million.

Meanwhile, BTS will meet local fans during their three-day concert run at Estadio GNP Seguros on May 7, 9, and 10.
