BTS held BTS WORLD TOUR ‘ARIRANG’ IN MEXICO CITY over three days from April 7 and April 9–10 at Estadio GNP Seguros, where they performed for a total of approximately 150,000 fans. The concerts marked the group’s first full-member solo shows in Mexico in about 10 years and 10 months, since July 2015.

The group captivated audiences with powerful live vocals and razor-sharp choreography. Their incorporation of Mexican cultural elements into the performances drew particularly enthusiastic responses.

During “Aliens,” dancers appeared wearing traditional Lucha Libre masks, while BTS’ member V was seen enjoying the local snack Banderilla during “IDOL”—a moment that quickly went viral on social media.

“You were truly the best. What more can we say? We will definitely come back to Mexico,” the members told fans. They also expressed their gratitude in Spanish, adding, “We’ll never forget the energy that spread from Zocalo. We’re leaving with so many wonderful memories of Mexico.”

The excitement extended far beyond the stadium. Local authorities estimated that around 35,000 fans gathered outside the venue during the second and third show days, with crowds spilling into nearby roads and prompting temporary traffic controls in surrounding areas.

BTS’ economic impact—often referred to as “BTSnomics”—has also drawn attention. The Mexico City Chamber of Commerce projected that the concerts would generate approximately $107.5 million in economic activity, including ticket sales, air travel, accommodations, dining, and local spending. Of that, around $17 million is expected to come from the hospitality sector, with food, beverage, and service-related consumption estimated at roughly $2.18 million.
